TheSkimm founders are coming to Disrupt NY 2016

The biggest news of the day, with a hint of snark. That’s theSkimm, which tells you everything you need to know about current events, in an email newsletter geared towards millennials.

TechCrunch is pleased to announce that theSkimm founders Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin will be on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt in NYC. In just four short years, the former TV producers  built one of the fastest-rising media brands — all before reaching their 30th birthdays.

Even Amy Schumer is a fan.

We’re excited to catch up with them to learn more about how to captivate a digital audience and are curious to learn where TheSkimm is headed.  What does it take to go viral?  Will they expand beyond newsletters? And do they have any advice for those struggling newspaper and television brands? How do you get millennials to pay attention?

We know if our chat has half as much personality as TheSkimm’s newsletters, it will be a lot of fun.

Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin join our growing list of speakers for Disrupt NY. We’re excited about this show. The lineup is stellar and getting better by the day. We would love it if you would attend the show, or, even better, bring your company and exhibit in Startup Alley. Tickets are still available.
