Takara Tomy uses pooping camera in TV commercial

Takara Tomy’s digital camera with built-in Zink printer is out now in Japan (for $350) and having held the thing in my hand yesterday, I can say it’s very bulky. So be ready for a minor disappointment when the camera hits American stores (probably in April/May next year).

Takara Tomy is brave enough to export the camera but they will not have the guts to air the Japanese commercial for the device (that’s currently on heavy rotation over here) in the US. Why? It should be too weird, at least in my opinion.

In the TV spot, the camera has arms and legs and actually poops out the pictures instead of printing them. I have no idea, why. And yes, at least 99% of Japanese people think this is weird, too.
