Thanko, the pioneer in disruptive technology, is rolling out one innovative product after another. After announcing the teddy bear-shaped gloves yesterday, the Tokyo-based company today unveiled an analog wrist watch that features a built-in video camera.

The so-called VIDEO CAMERA Analog Watch looks totally normal from the outside (weight: 80g) but is able to record 2 hours of video through a mini camera whose lens is placed between 1 and 2 o’clock on the dial.

Users can use 4GB of memory to store video material in avi format in 352×288 resolution (audio is also recorded). Thanko offers samples here and here (zip format). The video can be transfered to PCs via USB. Needless to say, the device is also usable just like a regular watch or for storing any kind of data on 4GB via USB.

Thanko sells the watch for $140 (it’s not yet listed in their English online shop, however).
