European News: Stockholm-based music video startup Musicbrigade has closed . It provided Channel 4’s music video content, reports PC. Started in 1999, Musicbrigade provided a video repertoire from the four major labels and others, allowing channel4.com users to access to thousands of videos plus rate videos and make shareable playlists. However, many labels now use other means, largely YouTube, to push their videos. Musicbrigade is inviting bidders for its domain names, servers and software. Venture Partners put $4 million into it for a 28% stake in 2006.
• In other news Oslo-based online recruitment site StepStone has acquired Webjobb, the parent of Statsjobb, a site for public sector jobs in Scandinavian countries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Release.
