As a fan of hard drives, I’m quite enthused by this bit of news. The Seagate GoFlex Home was one of the first easy-to-use cloud storage systems and for about a year access was limited to desktops and laptops. Now, however, you can access your files directly using a free iOS app for iPads, iPhones, and iPods Touch.
The GoFlex Home costs $159.99 for 1TB, $209.99 for 2TB, and $269.99 for 3TB and older models require updates to run the new software.

The new GoFlexAccess App delivers a fast and easy way to retrieve photos, movies, music and documents from anywhere while on-the-go with network access.
GoFlex Home network storage server is designed as a simple to set up shared storage drive, which provides back up and sharing capabilities within a home network and is also accessible using remote access from a personal computer. Today, with the introduction of these new mobile applications, GoFlex Home network drive has entered the world of mobile connectivity. The iPad, iPhone and Android smart phones can now have access to enjoy and share terabytes of media which are stored on the home network. Personal mobile technology devices are largely seen as products for consumption of media and now this consumption can be extended to the home network drive.
