Developed by Microsoft, the Surface Pro is the first generation in the Surface series Windows 8 tablets. It runs on the Window 8 pro operating system and was manufactured by the Taiwanese electronics company, Pegatron.
First launched in February 2013, Surface Pro has a full-HD display and a 10.6 inch screen. With a single position kickstand, the Surface Pro is much thicker than the original Surface. Though it maintains a similar design to its predecessor, the Surface Pro has improved hardware specifications, including a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor and an increased number of storage options.
It also has improved versions of its kickstand and cover accessories, like a new “Power Cover” with an auxiliary battery.
