Designed and marketed by Apple, iPad is a line of tablet devices that run Apple’s iOS. The first iPad was released in April 2010, and has been followed by a range of different models, including the iPad Air and the second generation iPad mini.
The user interface centers around the multi-touch screen. The iPad includes a virtual keyboard, built-in Wi-Fi and, on some models, cellular connectivity. iPads can shoot video, take photos, play music and perform Internet functions like web-browsing and emailing. Other functions can be enabled by downloading and installing the relevant apps.
