Apple Antitrust
Apple has faced a number of antitrust challenges, most recently with a March 21 lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice accusing the company of monopolistic smartphone practices. The lawsuit cites Apple’s suppression of “super apps,” cloud streaming gaming apps, messaging apps, digital wallets and smartwatch cross-platform compatibility. Apple has responded by claiming the suit would tear down a large share of what its users value in their iPhones and connected devices.
