Media Markt is large German retailer with, it seems, an overactive Twitter account (and, it must be said, a very red website). Netbooknews.de claims they caught them in the act of tweeting the name and price of the upcoming Apple Tablet.
I’ll not tease you. It says iPad, and the price is €499 with a €120/month T-Mobile contract or €899 without. Hmm. I’m thinking nein. → Read More
Well ride with me across the Spanish countryside and call me Sancho Panza: All of Pentax’s Optio cameras have leaked before PMA, revealing very little except a few simple specs for the I-10, H90, and E-90 lines. The I-10, shown here, is very retro with a 5x wide zoom and a 12.1 megapixel sensor. It’s in the Canon G10 vein, with a bit more apparent ruggedness. → Read More
Good old Steve just put up a great graphic detailing all of the possible rumors about whatever the heck Apple is releasing whenever it will release it. Rumors include the “glowing Apple logo” as well as a “touch sensitive case.” I think the iSlate will also give worms to ex-girlfriends.

This just came in through the tip line purporting to know for certain that the iSlate event will happen at the Yerba Buena Center in San Fran on January 27th, just as others have reported. The agenda should include a new SDK (probably iPhone/iSlate 4.0) and that most iPhone apps presumably run on the iSlate.
n addition to the introduction of the iTablet hardware recent rumors have said that a new… → Read More
Before we actually discuss the rumor, let me just say that having a product called 3D is misleading when it’s not actually 3D in any way but that it exists in a three-dimensional space. Really. People these days hear “3D” and they don’t think “Hmm, like the 5D?” — no, they think “OMG Avatar!” So keep that in mind, Canon.
But as for the rumor itself, it’s actually kind of interesting. → Read More
If you’ve been following my CrunchGear in China posts, you’d know that leaks out of companies like Foxconn are usually pump and dump situations. Well, some dude twooted that Foxconn is making the next-gen iPhone. Anyone want to comment on what could be happening here? → Read More
The debate over Droid v. iPhone rages on, but lots more Android surprises are on the way. Get ready for the Google Phone. It’s no longer a myth, it’s real.
The next “super” Android device will almost certainly be a HTC phone that’s much thinner than even the Droid or iPhone – The Dragon/Passion. This is the phone the senior Android guys at Google are now carrying around and testing, at least as… → Read More
Well what have we here? It seems that a “retail tipster” sent Kotaku the following inventory screen showing this potentially enticing deal: an Xbox 360 Arcade system for $199 “with $100 GC.” Let’s pretend for fun that “GC” means “gift card” shall we? → Read More
I’m not about to knock myself out for noting the 800th iMac rumor of the past few weeks, so here’s the deal: people “close” to Apple now aren’t sure whether or not Blu-ray will wind up on the next iMac revision. Blu-ray may be on Mac Pros, and maybe then only as a build-to-order option, but that’s enough “maybes” to bore a slug. → Read More

Don’t expect to see an Apple e-book store anytime soon. No, not because the recently-turned-heel company hates books (or you) or anything, but because, well, running an e-book store is hard. → Read More

New iPods usually come out in September, right? There or thereabouts, at any rate. Well then maybe we should look into this report that says Toshiba will “ramp up” production of flash memory chips during the month of Auguest. Word on the street is that Toshiba is doing so to fulfill a big order from Apple. So, new iPods on the way? Speculate away! → Read More
I love how the word “leak” can apply to anything from Deep Throat to PS3 video game release dates. Such is life. Anyway, the release dates for several Sony video games has supposedly “leaked” to a French site. The big news: expect to see Uncharted 2 on September 30. Oh, and perhaps a Michael Jackson edition of Sing Star this fall. → Read More

So it looks like this whole “iPod Touch with Camera” thing is coming to fruition. While the first case we saw was a little wonky, this makes more sense. Take a look at the back of your iPod touch – there’s a Wi-Fi antenna on the left side so the only place they could stuff a camera would be in the center, next to the antenna. I’m not sure what else is up in that spot, but the camera can’t take… → Read More
