• Putting Slacker to work

Today RIM announced the Slacker application available for BlackBerry. It was demoed at CTIA and I got a chance to play around with it a little bit. The relationship brings Slacker Personal Radio to BlackBerry devices. The biggest benefit is the ability to cache thousands of songs. Every time you hit a hotspot the device will sync and update the station. Plenty of music is available from Fergie… Read More

  • AT&T was supposed to announce BlackBerry Bold yesterday

According to a press release obtained by the BGR, AT&T was scheduled to announce the Bold‘s October launch yesterday, but for some reason the press release was not put out. At least we know for certain that when it does launch it’ll set you back $300. It’s also packed with a 624MHz processor, 1GB of memory, built-in Wi-Fi, GPS (AT&T Navigator Global Edition), and… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold creeping into AT&T stores in October

I give up. I’ve been pining over this damn device for months and months and this is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Whether it’s AT&T or RIM’s fault, I don’t care, but I’m not waiting until October. You’ve lost me, RIM. Android all the way! Oh, BGR is reporting that the higher ups at AT&T have revealed the Bold will be available in stores… Read More

  • Video: CrackBerry unboxes the BlackBerry Bold

I’m starting to get a tad excited over this device again. RIM, please bring this down south soon! Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold headin' to Canada later this week

Jeez – after hearing about the Bold for over 3 months, it’s hard to believe this thing still hasn’t touched down in North America. Fortunately, that won’t hold true much longer. Read the rest at MobileCrunch >> Read More

  • Blackberry Bold reviewed

Apparently August 12th is a holiday for anybody in the mobile industry. At least, that’s what I derive from the fact that nothing is going on. What are you, the devoted mobile blog reader, to do for entertainment? You could go have a snackpack and watch some day-time soaps .. or, even better, you could read David Flynn’s BlackBerry Bold review over at APC Mag. It’s about… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold release pushed back to September

Interest in the BBB is at an all time low. BlackBerry News is reporting that the 3G BlackBerry from RIM is now being pushed back to September 1 or later. I’m not sure about you folks, but I’m over it. Read More

  • Video: BGR demos the BlackBerry Bold's Web browser Dare I say it, but I think my interest in the Bold is beginning to wane. BGR demos both IE and FF emulators that both crash, but that OS sure does it look pretty. Of course, I can’t pass judgment on something I haven’t seen in person, yet. Any BlackBerry fans being swayed either way by this video? Read More

  • BoyGenius gives the Bold a thorough working over

BoyGenius has apparently had his mitts on the BlackBerry Bold for a month now and gave an extensive review, (including recommending coffee before reading.) In short: “This is the device every single BlackBerry user has been waiting for. Finally a BlackBerry that ‘has it all.’” More review highlights include: a “gorgeous” screen, “We can safely say… Read More

  • Rogers launching BlackBerry Bold on July 25

Attention Canada- By now you’ve read that Rogers will be bending you over on data plans if the iPhone 3G is something you’re lusting after and you’re none to happy about it, so I suggest you look down a different path. Why not stick to a homegrown company like RIM and wait a couple weeks for the Bold? Read More

  • Blackberry Bold on track for August – that's still Summer technically

Oh, those naughty bloggers. How hardworking PR people must hate the rumors incessantly bubbling up based on every offhand remark or misspoken word. In this case the buzz has been around the much-anticipated Blackberry Bold being delayed until August, though if you ask them, August was the target all along. RIM PR guy Erik van Drunen says: We didn’t say anything about ‘July’… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold hands on: You know, for everyone

I got a little face time with the BlackBerry Bold today and came away impressed. The BlackBerry Bold is a new step for RIM. Whereas the Pearl aimed at the non-smartphone user who wanted some email functionality, the Bold clearly aims at a new audience – the extreme emailer in a casual business. Whereas most of the line is built for IT guys and members of the khaki-clad workforce, the… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold to launch in Canada before US?

Apparently Rogers of Canada will get the 3G BlackBerry in one week, June 25. I thought AT&T was getting the Bold in July? According to the BGR we may have to wait a bit longer for the Bold to hit stateside. AT&T corporate is still telling their Fortune 500 customers that the Bold will launch in “July/August”. I hope it’s not really August. It’s the one… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold appears on AT&T site, let the drooling commence

The connection in my hotel here in Berlin is slow as molasses or FF is being weird, so my apologies for the strange screen cap. While everyone else is frothing over the iPhone 3G, I’m patiently waiting for the Bold to hit the streets. AT&T now has it up on their site, so jump on over and check it out. Nothing new, though. The specs we’ve all been expecting and heard about… Read More

  • Battle Royale (not so much): iPhone vs Bold

Everyone knows that I’m not the biggest fan of the iPhone and I usually steer clear of most comparisons because I find them useless. That being said, I’ll reiterate the uselessness of this comparison between the current gen iPhone and RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Bold by the iPhone blog. I don’t even care about the fact that the Bold is the clear winner because we have no… Read More

  • BlackBerry Bold dated, priced for every carrier

High res available here. While everyone else in the free world is geeking over the iPhone 2, I’m giddy for the BlackBerry Bold. Everyone I’ve spoken to that currently uses a BlackBerry is psyched for this device and 90 percent scoff at the Thunder because we all know how much touchscreen phones SUCK (this goes for all of them not just the iPhone). I’m bummed I have to wait… Read More

  • John Mayer loves the Blackberry Bold, to be sure

John Mayer got the BlackBerry Bold.
His post looks like this post.
    Very short sentences.
Funny how he got it early.
He says its blazing fast and looks like the New York Times.
Has he ever seen the New York Times?
It’s made of paper, not plastic.
And it doesn’t have a very high resolution.
Maybe she should compare it to a Curve.
    Or a TV.
Why is John Mayer blogging about technology?
