Founded in 2007 by Arash Ferdowsi and Drew Houston, Dropbox provides cloud-storage and file-sharing services that enable users to edit documents, add photos and share videos from anywhere.
Dropbox also provides Dropbox for Business, a service that protects users’ work and lets teams store and access files from computers, phones or tablets. Dropbox services clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local organization in the US and internationally.
In 2012, Dropbox acquired Snapjoy, a service for aggregating, archiving and viewing digital photographs; in 2013, Dropbox acquired Mailbox, the email management application for iOS; and in 2013, it also acquired mobile coupon startup Endorse. As of November 2013, Dropbox had 200 million users.
