Acer's 'Predator' gaming PCs get preliminary prices

Yesterday was “Hey, look at the new Acer gaming PCs” day. Today is “Hey, we’ve got some early pricing and specs for you” day. TrustedReviews.com has some interesting information in that the Predator line of PCs won’t be customizable — the machines will just be sold off-the-shelf in stores. That’s good for people who don’t want to wait, but bad for people who like to tweak stuff like, oh, I don’t know, gamers?

Anyway, on to the specs and prices.

TrustedReviews.com says the following

All Predator systems sport a DVD-RW and a Blu-ray drive, liquid cooling for the CPU and come bundled with a Logitech G11 keyboard and G5 mouse. The latter two additions helping to avoid the common retail gaming PC pitfall of bundling rubbish peripherals with a high-end system.

The rest of the system specs and pricing line ups are as follows:

Sniper – €1,699 (~£1,360) [$2,670]

Trooper – €1,999 (~£1,600) [$3,142]

Crusher – €2,999 (~£2,400) [$4,713]

Eliminator – €3,999 (~£3,200) [$6,285]

I added the US prices listed in the brackets, so let’s hope that if and when these machines are sold stateside that they’re not sold based on a straight currency conversion. My first car cost less than the Crusher, there. It was a 1990 Mitsubishi Mirage — I’ve got a lot of fond memories of that thing.
