Yes, the rumors are true: Nokia will start shipping its N97 device (they call it a mobile computer) to no less than 75 countries this month, after starting to accept pre-orders earlier last month. In the second half of 2009, Nokia plans to start rolling out a bunch of new features and functions, but right off the bat it will be the first device to come pre-installed with the recently launched Ovi Store. We hope the experience is better than the actual launch.

Not only did the government suits photograph a previously unannounced color scheme, but also published all the details about the phone. We kind of already know most about the phone after spying it at Nokia World ’08 last December. Seriously, rumors are flying around that Nokia’s new N97 phone is real and slowly making it’s way into people’s hands as a prototype. Mobile Whack has some hot pictures of one sexy phone, but are they real? The rumored specs on this baby are insane: huge 3” display, 20GB internal memory w/ miniSD card slot, and a 5MP camera with 20x zoom. Impossible? Certainly not. But we’ll take this one with a grain of salt until we see some concrete evidence.
