How to fix your Bluetooth connection if Mac OS X 10.5.6 breaks it

Does Mac OS X 10.5.6 break Bluetooth? That’s what some people are saying on Apple’s support forums, as are the jkOnTheRun guys. It seems that after applying the update—I haven’t bothered to update yet—the little Bluetooth icon disappears from the menu bar. Not only that, but the Bluetooth entry in System Preferences disappears, too. Without that, there’s no way to turn on and configure… → Read More

Fixing iPod/iPhone error 13213

Looks like there’s a bit of a bug in iTunes 8, with fairly widespread reports of iPhone syncing errors. After waking up this morning to a dead iPhone, I plugged it in for a quick blast of juice. An error popped up on screen, saying that my iPhone couldn’t be synced. An “Unknown error occurred (13213)”. Unknown error? Nonsense! I poked around the googletubes a bit, and… → Read More

I’ve attached it to a downloads… → Read More

Transmission 0.71 Released – Key Issues Fixed

Mac OS X users have always gotten a bit of a shaft on decent Bit Torrent clients. There’s always Azureus, but it’s cluttered, slow, and a resource hog. And until the recent release of Bit Rocket, there wasn’t much else: except for Transmission. In the past, Transmission has been banned on almost every private Bit Torrent tracker on the net. Why’s that? Transmission used to… → Read More
