After some confusion, T-Mobile has taken to Facebook to give us an exact arrival date for the myTouch 4G Slide. We originally pegged the slider for a July 27 launch, and as luck (and leaks) would have it, we were right. T-Mo’s Facebook update also confirmed that July 19 will kick off the pre-order period (web only).

We’ve been following this phone from the beginning, and we’re excited to see it finally make its way onto the market. Specs include a 1.2GHz processor running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC’s Sense 3.0 UI on top. The slider also sports a 3.7-inch WVGA SuperLCD display with 800×480 pixels of resolution and “the most advanced camera on any smartphone.”

To be honest, the actual camera hardware on the myTouch 4G Slide is your standard 8-megapixel rear shooter. The “most advanced” part comes into play via software, as the camera app features a number of different features to keep things snappy, crisp, and creative.
