Farewell, T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900; it was nice knowing you

It seems like only yesterday that T-Mobile BlackBerry users were being treated to the Curve 8900 when they were feeling Bold 9000 envy. But alas, the glory would be short lived as it has reached the end of its life cycle. We’re sad to see it go, but we won’t miss it too much. After all, the trackpad equipped Curve 8520 and Bold 9700 are so attractively priced right now that the 8900… Read More

BlackBerry Bold dated, priced for every carrier

High res available here. While everyone else in the free world is geeking over the iPhone 2, I’m giddy for the BlackBerry Bold. Everyone I’ve spoken to that currently uses a BlackBerry is psyched for this device and 90 percent scoff at the Thunder because we all know how much touchscreen phones SUCK (this goes for all of them not just the iPhone). I’m bummed I have to wait till… Read More

That’s right, addicts, the Bold will be shipping with RIM’s yet to be released BlackBerry Media Sync software that allows you to transfer your iTunes music files to your BlackBerry. I can’t wait for this to come out. Read More

Word on the street is that RIM’s new BlackBerry 9000 will be officially announced at the WES conference in Orlando next Monday, May 12th. It’s 100% confirmed, according to BGR. • BlackBerry 9000 video overview, looks nice

Following up on CrackBerry.com’s covereage of the upcoming BlackBerry 9000 from a few days ago, we now have some video footage of the 9000 in action. Looks pretty slick, no? The 480×320 screen seems nice and the OS looks like it’s responsive. via Gizmodo Read More

  • BlackBerry 9000 reviewed

    BlackBerry 9000 reviewed

A few weeks back someone unloaded a few BlackBerry 9000 devices on eBay and everyone assumed they were fake except a few people. Kevin over at CrackBerry.com was not one of them. He dropped, roughly, $828 based on a few pictures and the belief that not everyone on eBay is a complete scumball. He got lucky and here’s a brief synopsis of what he found. Read More

    Blodget: "New Blackberry is dum"

While I tend to agree that RIM’s OS is definitely showing its age, Henry Blodget is totally down on the new 9000 interface with its iPhon-esque UI and, well, Blackberry-esque keyboard and lack of touchscreen. Again, this phone is not for skinny-jeans wearing hipsters. It’s for straight-leg khaki-wearing business guys who won’t shut up about cars and golf. Therefore, they’re… Read More

  • BlackBerry 9000 revealed, major disappointment?

    BlackBerry 9000 revealed, major disappointment?

It appears the rumored touchscreen BB is just a myth if you believe what first time poster Cooper over at BB Forums has to say. This photo was purportedly taken in Waterloo at the RIM campus. The 9xxx line won’t see a touchscreen for a long time and it seems as though it’s a myth internally, too according to Coops. I have a hard time swallowing this one. If anything, this looks like a… Read More

    Blackberry 9000's tender insides revealed

Somebody over at Boy Genius Report has the hook-up. They’ve got the full specs for the new Blackberry 9000, although the one picture they have (also above) looks kind of shady. Anyhow, here’s the lowdown: 420×380 screen, 1GB of memory, a 624MHz Intel processor. It also has the 1-2-3 punch of GPS, Wi-Fi, and 3G, none of which are to be found on my phone. Depressing? Hell yes. But… Read More
