Last year we brought the juggernaut of TechCrunch Disrupt to Berlin, in the first-ever Disrupt event on the continent. And after that incredible success, how could we not come back for more? But to keep everyone on their toes, we’re shifting cities, and heading over to London medieval streets and crazy Black Cab drivers.
But, the simple message is: We Want You. We want startups from every corner of Europe to come to London in October, but most of all we want the hottest companies that want to launch – for the first time – on our stage, to apply to Startup Battlefield.
Why is this so good? No other event on the planet can bring as much noise to your launch as TechCrunch. From Michael Arrington’s seminal interviews, to our editors’ savvy take on your company, there is simply nothing to rival our ability to shine a light on your company, and to bring the rest of the media along with us.
Last year the competition boasted 14 companies (and one superb audience choice) from across the continent.
Check out all the information on our event page.
Our winner, Lock8, flew past their Kickstarter goal and is now on its way to building the ‘sharing economy of bikes.’ Asap54, our runner-up, has raised over $3M since the competition, and plans to change how people find and interact with fashion.
Up for grabs is the £30,000 prize, the coveted “Disrupt Cup,” feedback from an all-star panel of judges, and a wealth of press exposure. Startups will also have a table in a designated section of Startup Alley for the Battlefield, tickets to the after-parties, invitations to our VIP events and of course, Battlefield freebies.
Think you have what it takes?
Next week there is a webinar to go over all the details. You can tune in on Wednesday, June 4th, from 6pm in London, 7pm CET or 10-10:30am PDT.
