A couple days ago I saw a mention of a turntable that used to be a Triumph, which is perfectly cool, except that there’s even cooler stuff in the gallery of items made from that disassembled motorcycle. Yesterday we saw the opposite occur with some lighter parts. I say, let’s keep the trend going.
As you can see (and there are more at the original DesignBoom post), there are quite a few ingenious repurposings; I love the cutlery and coat rack, and the iPod dock actually comes out understated.
One Triumph owner in the comments calls the design contest “barbaric.” And what, pray, is wrong with barbarism?
