Rumor: Touchscreen Mac for under $1000

A “reliable source” who has nailed some things before (okay, it’s just a little bird) hears on the grapevine that come the 23rd of September, there’s going to be a sub-$1000 touchscreen-based Mac dropping on us. Not only that, but 10-bit HDMI out from the GPU, great for hi-def buffs (probably not on the <$1K rig). Not going too far out on a limb, but let's still treat it like the filthy, contemptible rumor it is and not propagate it.

What do you guys think? I’m down for a touchscreen. I’m upgrading this month, so I think I’m biased towards the hopeful side.
