Expanded Consumer Options Allow Users to Check-In from Anywhere Like Never Before
LAS VEGAS (Jan. 5, 2011)—In advance of the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show, Avaak, the leader in easy-to-use, award winning wire-free personal video networking technology, today announced its next generation Vue
“We listened to our customers and designed the 2nd generation Vue personal video network based on their feedback,” said Gioia Messinger, founder and CEO of Avaak, Inc. “With the added capabilities, the Vue continues to provide unmatched simplicity, accessibility, flexibility and peace-of-mind for home monitoring products. In keeping with our brand promise, we’ve made the use of motion-activated alerts as easy as possible. Vue’s motion detection capability is tightly integrated into the camera, and once connected the user will find all necessary controls easily accessible.”
The 2nd generation of Vue personal video network
The Vue personal video network is comprised of a system of small, battery-powered cameras that are incredibly easy to set up, and do not require users to download software, run messy power cords, or reconfigure their home networks to allow remote viewing. The 2nd generation Vue system introduces three new cameras to its line-up:
· Vue CI indoor camera allows you to keep tabs on activity within your home or business
· Vue CM motion detection camera alerts users via their smartphone or PC of activity taking place within a home or office such as package deliveries, kids arriving home from school, or Fido misbehaving
· Vue CO outdoor camera with motion detection expands on the features of the Vue CM camera as this camera is able to withstand wind, rain and snow, no matter what the season. It is perfect for monitoring front and backyard activity
All new Vue cameras offer digital pan and zoom, improved ergonomics, and a sleek new look.
Upgraded VueZone mobile applications
Consumers on-the-go will also enjoy the new and free VueZone Mobile 2.0 applications for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. With VueZone Mobile, consumers can receive and control the arming and disarming of real-time alerts from their motion detection cameras. Users can also review and share their most recent trigger-recorded videos, or view friends’ live streaming Vue cameras to which they have been invited. For more details on the applications and supported phones, visit VueZone.com/mobileapps.
The new VueZone service
With the cameras in place, consumers simply log onto their own password-protected my.VueZone.com account, where they can view live video or prescheduled recordings. With the launch of the 2nd generation Vue personal video network, the my.VueZone.com service has been completely upgraded. Manage your cameras right in the viewer window, for setting quick and easy recording schedules, sharing cameras with friends, the enabling of alerts, and more. Additionally, consumers can also digitally pan and zoom on live video streams at up to 4X zoom, or access a new high-resolution 2MP viewing mode. For enhanced stored video management, the new VueZone service offers content library functionality that allows videos to be easily sorted by name, date, camera and content type in several formats.
The 2nd generation Vue is currently available on Avaak’s website at www.VueZone.com, with pre-orders being taken for motion detection cameras. Bundled systems start at $269 and include two Vue CI indoor cameras or two Vue CM motion detection cameras. Additional cameras start at $99. In the coming weeks, all products will be available for purchase at Amazon, Costco.com, MicroCenter and other retailers.
