Google was originally set to debut in-app payments support for Android in the fourth quarter of 2010, and recently said that the launch would be delayed until the end of this quarter. Earlier this week we broke the news that Jambool and their Social Gold monetization platform had been acquired by Google. Jambool founders Vikas Gupta and Reza Hussien have just confirmed the deal on their company blog. While the blog post did not reveal a purchase price, our sources have it pegged at $55 million plus another $15 million -$20 million in an earnout.
