TechCrunch Balkans Steams Through Belgrade And Zagreb, Ljubljana Is Next

We have one more stop on the long road from Sofia to Ljubljana and each city has been better than the last. In Belgrade we met some exciting startups including the winner, Pubsonic, the winner that night, and Warrant.ly. In Zagreb we met SizeM, a unique bra-fitting app, and a clever Kinect-based animation program.

You can read a little bit more about the event here but I’ve thus far been impressed with the caliber of startups I’ve been seeing at each of the stops. Founders are no longer working in the vacuum created by their own geographical barriers and are truly international. I’ve seen it happening around the world so far and it’s especially exciting to see it here.

Our next event is on Friday and I hope to see you there.

Ljubljana (5.7) – LP Bar – 8PM to 11PM

Expect to have some beer, lots of sunshine, and a great chance to talk about your startup in an informal setting. We’ll also be scouting for Disrupt entrants for Disrupt Europe in October.

If you have a startup to pitch, please submit to Disrupt right now and we’ll talk about your presentation and application when I’m in town. We are still accepting applications for TechCrunch Disrupt Europe and applications to Berlin will be closing shortly. This is a great opportunity to get in front of a TechCrunch staffer before the event.

These will be informal meetups where I’ll talk a little bit about TechCrunch and getting the attention of media outside your own country and we can talk startups, entrepreneurship, and funding all night long.
