Here is a delightful gif of Y Combinator’s Paul Graham throwing what looks like $50 up in the air, “making it rain” as the kids would say.

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, or Lil Wayne, here is Urban Dictionary’s definition of the phrase.

“When you’re in da club with a stack, and you throw the money up in the air at the strippers. The effect is that it seems to be raining money.”

And why is PG doing this, you ask? Well, because Exec is very, um, excited about being nominated for the “Fastest Rising Startup” Crunchie. To express this excitement, the startup produced the below music video, in homage to Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop,” copiously mentioning their fellow nominees like Warby Parker and Lyft and Zulily and Lit Motors (they rhyme Asana with “sauna”).

Yes, this is very startup hipster. It’s also adorkable. It also made TechCrunch, of course. Well played, Justin Kan, well played.
