JolieBox, which is essentially a Birchbox clone in France, has a another British competitor, Boudoir Privé. The news comes a few weeks after JolieBox raised 1 million euros from Alven Capital and Oleg Tscheltzoff.

Boudoir Privé will soon become JolieBox UK and the existing team will be maintained.

JolieBox’s CEO, Quentin Vacher, tells me the acquisition was eased because the shareholders of Boudoir Privé also happen to be French. Quelle coïncidence!

Every month, JolieBox delivers a “Beauty Box” to its subscribers, with a selection of 4 to 6 cosmetic products of high-end brands, for a flat fee of 13 euros.

The startup is based in Paris and was founded in 2011.
