One of Android‘s advantages is its versatility, as a Japanese company called SKR Technology [JP] now demonstrates: SKR has developed a 32-inch digital signage display that runs on Android 2.3 and that supports multi-touch.

The display, which is a prototype but ready to be commercialized in September, features a USB and an HDMI port. It produces pictures in full HD resolution.

SKR plans to develop 23- and 46-inch versions too and aims at selling around 100 of their displays each year.
