Japanese computer display maker Eizo Nanao announced [JP] the DuraVision FDH3601 today, a 36.4-inch display whose main selling point is the resolution: 4K×2K (4,096×2,160) isn’t really that easy to beat.

Here are the other specs:

  • LED backlight
  • 700cd/m2 brightness
  • 1,000:1 contrast ratio
  • two DVI-D ports, two DisplayPorts (HDCP)
  • EcoView Sense sensor (the display turns off automatically after some time when the user moves away from it)

Eizo promises the discreensplay can be used for 2 years (24 hours a day) without any problems. So far so good, but the company plans to price the DuraVision at $36,000 (release date: September 7).
