Video: NEC's ArmKeypad Touch Remote Control In Action

Do you remember NEC‘s weird remote control system we’ve shown you earlier this month? Back then, the tech was so new that the “ArmKeypad” didn’t have a name, and we couldn’t get a picture either. But now, thanks to Diginfonews in Tokyo, we even have a video (in English).

The goal here it to make it easier for users who have to push buttons on their music player while they’re out jogging, stuck in a crowded train etc. But judging by the video embedded below, this doesn’t look like an elegant solution at all.

NEC seems to be ready to improve the ArmKeypad (smaller size, accuracy) before commercializing the device in 1-2 years.
