DIY Like A Boss: Remote Car Starter

Don’t try this one at home folks. This is the DIY “remote start” they have over at Lifehacker. It’s a poor-man’s remote start that doesn’t actually start the car, rather it turns on a portable heater to heat the cabin for those cold mornings. Whereas most people who use a real remote start waste a ton of gas getting their cabins warm, the poor-man’s remote start cuts out the middle man. All you need is a RF wireless light switch, a long heavy duty extension cord, and a small ceramic heater (preferably oscillating). I can already smell the house burning down
