Back when T-Mobile announced that the Android-2.2-powered and “budget-friendly” Optimus T would be hitting their network, they got away without mentioning two important bits: pricing and launch date.

Fortunately, they’ve gone ahead and remedied that this morning.

Turning to Facebook of all places, T-Mobile has announced that the Optimus T should be hitting the shelves on November 3rd, at the grand ol’ price of.. $30 bucks. Unless I’m forgetting something, that just might be the cheapest Android phone to hit any US carrier so far. That’s after a 2-year contract, of course, so the real minimum price of ownership is about $1,500 bucks… but hey, it’s cheap up front!
