Taxan to roll out new DLP projector

It seems it’s projector day today in Nippon. Here’s the ninth model that’s just been announced for the Japanese market: The Taxan KG-PH1004XS [JP], which looks like a DLP projector with decent specs.

The device features XGA (1,024×768) resolution, 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,000 lumens brightness. It produces 76-inch images from 1m away. The projector is equipped with HDMI/DVI-I/USB and RS232C ports and is sized at 312×250×100mm (weight: 3.7kg).

The KG-PH1004XS is already on sale in Japan where it costs $2,600. International sales plans for this device haven’t been announced by Taxan yet, but the company does sell projectors overseas, too.
