Another day, another announcement for a projector. Today it’s Mitsubishi Electric Japan with their LVP-XD95ST [JP], a compact and (rather) inexpensive DLP Projector. The device goes on sale in Japan as early as next Monday and costs $1,000.

The projector features a maximum resolution of 1,024×768, can display 60-inch images from a distance of 1.1m, produces 2,200 lumens brightness and features a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. It’s sized at just 190×205×76.5mm and weighs 1.6kg.

Mitsubishi plans to ship 1,000 units monthly on the Japanese market but hasn’t said yet whether the projector will ever find its way outside Nippon.
