• Kenwood introduces a pair of very cool glass speakers

    Kenwood Japan today announced the SP0001 [JP], a pair of awesome-looking glass speakers that can be pimped with with either a blue LED stand (SP0011) or a white LED stand (SP0012). The speakers feature 8Ω output at 10W each (80Hz-25kHz).

    Sized at 140×170×195mm, one speaker weighs 2.3kg (weight of the stand: 350g).

    In Japan, Kenwood is selling the speakers for $1,050, while the stands are priced at $210 each. The devices are only available in Kenwood’s Japanese online store at this point (sales began today). The company hasn’t said if the speakers will be available outside Nippon as well.
