There are two truths in this world; you can’t triple stamp a double stamp, and a product can’t be delayed if a release date was never set for it. Nintendo is leveraging the no-release-date argument amidst recent rumors that the Wii MotionPlus peripheral may be delayed.

The company told Computer and Video Games, “No date was ever announced for MotionPlus — so technically it can’t be delayed.” Well crafted, Nintendo.

It should be noted that a quote like “It’ll be on time” or “It’s not delayed” might have done more to dispel the rumors than the actual quote, which basically tells us that it’ll get here when it gets here.

Whatever the case, the game that’s supposed to ship with MotionPlus, Wii Sports Resort, has indeed gone from a “Spring 2009” release to simply a “2009” release.
