Metallica has officially run out of mon– I mean, GameSpot UK is reporting that Activision is planning on publishing “Guitar Hero: Metallica” in 2009, according to notes from an SEC filing…
“In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms.”
It should be noted that Activision’s fiscal year ends on March 31st, 2009, which leads GameSpot to posit that we’ll see the Metallica version of Guitar Hero “following the holiday release of Guitar Hero: World Tour”.
I can’t speak for other Metallica fans, but as a fan (former fan?) myself, I hope that the majority of songs come from the Black album and earlier. Let’s leave the later years out of it and pretend they never happened, shall we?
