The third week of September, 2008, is notable for a few reasons. For one, Neil Diamond is playing in Seattle that week. For another, the Photokina trade fair happens in Cologne, Germany.
Photokina is like CES for photographers and imagers of all kinds. This is where the latest and greatest DSLRs will be announced as well as tons of fun lenses and other gear.
Canon, Nikon, and Pentax are all rumored to have new professional DSLRs on tap, including the mysterious Canon 5D Mark II, or whatever they’re going to call it and the rumored Nikon D90.
Another rumor is that Pentax will drop a 20MP DSLR, which means Samsung is likely to follow, given their partnership. I have a Samsung GX-10, based on the K10D, and I must say it’s a remarkable camera.
There’s more at Photography Bay, and we’ll be covering the show from here at CrunchGear HQ.
