Oral Hygiene Monitor automatically tells your dentist if you've been flossing

This is fairly high up on the weird scale, but since October is wellness month at CG… Meet the Oral Hygiene Monitor. It’s a small metal plate that you bite down on once or twice a day. The monitor scans your mouth to see what’s been going on: any sign of flossing, brushing, how often, etc. It then sends all this information to a database at your dentist’s office, giving him a better sense of how you take care of your teeth. That way, the next time you sidle into his office, he’ll know what he needs to do to fix your teeth.

Theoretically helpful, yes. Will it catch on? (Will it even be released commercially?) That’s a whole different matter.
