MediaDefender, the sword and shield of the media industry, was hacked a few days ago, revealing mail files and voicemails integral to the process of throwing feces and FUD into the P2P process. Now hackers have found the company’s complete set of “protective” applications which appear to have been written by a teenager who hangs out in IRC too much.

Programs include BTScraper, KazaaSupplyTaker, and wma generator. Note to big media: before you write a check for these things, understand that the processes they are using are about as complex as writing “Hello World” on a C64. Send checks instead to sites like TorrentFreak, who have made them available to the world.
