Well the genie is pretty much out of the bottle, the cat is out of the bag and the news about a Google mobile phone is all but confirmed. But despite the recent story in the Wall Street Journal we still have no solid confirmation. Of course this is just a replay of January when the Apple iPhone was all but released.
What does this mean about the way secrets are kept? It is a good thing the boys at Google or Steve Jobs buddies didn’t plan the D-Day landings 64 years ago. Otherwise the Germans would have been reporting, “Allies rumored to be planning Normandy invasion in spring, possibly summer.”
Then again the Allies weren’t exactly getting their war chest in order to buy the 700 MHz spectrum. No they were just massing an army in Southern England. So maybe it was the same thing!
