There is a lot of music tunes and videos available for mobile devices, but much like in the 1980s when there were plenty of top 40 radio stations and few “alternatives,” the state of mobile music is all about the big hits. That has left those looking for something “harder” out in the cold. Metal heads and punk rockers rejoice!
Cellfish, the mobile and Web entertainment portal from Legardere Media, have launched the Mobile Threat channel for those looking for metal, hardcore, indie and punk rock. The site offers original branded content and includes ringtones, wallpapers, animations, games and applications from all the various buzz labels, bands, media and even apparel companies.
Currently available through many carriers in the U.S., Canada and Europe this is clearly a “No Britney Zone.” It will also be the place to check in this summer’s Sounds of the Underground tour. Cellfish.com’s Mobile Threat will be tracking the festival throughout the tour. Rock on.
