Sony Fully Supports the UMD. No Really, it Does

During extended periods of time when I’m busy playing World of Warcraft working really hard on my Macbook, I’m always pissed to find that my battery is in the red and I’m forced to find a charger ASAP. Proporta’s new Portable Laptop Battery aims to solve that problem with a 6000mAH battery that can provide hours of use after your internal battery dies.

With multiple connectors, it can hook up to most laptops with ease. It even comes with a USB port in case you just need to charge your iPod or cellphone. Only two devices are said to not work on the battery: The Nokia N95 and Microsoft Zune. Since the latter doesn’t exactly have a huge following, I’d say it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s available this month for $200.
