The RAZR2 V8 is geared toward entertainment and it sports the necessary accoutrements to get the job done. The second generation RAZR keeps the slim and sleek form factor of its predecessor with a stainless steel frame, metal and glass housing that’s 2mm smaller on the GSM and CDMA versions. The 2-inch QVGA external display is nice and bright with contextual touch interaction with an internal display topping out at 2.2-inches. Touch interaction? That makes me wet.
The camera is bumped to 2-megapixels with 8x zoom. On board memory ranges from 420MB to 2GB depending on the apps your provider decides to cram into it. A feature I really like is MotoSync which allows you to sync your Email, phonebook and calendar OTA. The integrated music player utilizes the Bluetooth 2.0 and/or the micro-USB slot so you can rock out. A full HTML browser lets you read CrunchGear on the go with HSDPA (V9), EDGE/GSM (V8) or EV-DO (V9m). Want videos? Sure you do. The V8 plays back and captures MPEG 4 video’s for you viewing pleasure. The RAZR2 V8 is set to drop in July.
