Apple Orders Bar to Cease and Desist "iPod Monday"

Earlier this week, we posted a collection of Mac accessories, including a Western Digital My Book Pro featuring three inputs: FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. However, Sonnet Technologies’ new Fusion R400Q four-bay rack mount drive goes one higher with four interface choices—FireWire 400, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 and SATA II. An integrated port multiplier supports up to four hard drives through any of the connections.

Granted the $699, platform-independent R400Q, with its hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive trays and ability to be set in a RAID array with three more R400Qs, is not for the same market as the My Book Pro. But if you need the best in connectivity with the scalability of more expensive storage solutions, it’s definitely worth checking into. Well, at least it will be in March when it’s released.
