Panasonic Plays Russian Nesting Dolls with microSD Cards

We’ve got a cellphone, a GPS unit, and a Palm, all of which use different sized SD cards. The phone uses microSD, the GPS unit, which has a big screen for photo playback, uses miniSD, and the Palm uses standard SD. Even though they’re all SD, you can’t share them without buying fancy adapters.

Panasonic has solved our problem by packaging its new microSD cards with both a mini and standard SD adapters. It’s not just for sharing between devices, but now one SD card reader is all we have to schlep with us in our laptop bag when we’re on the road.

Thank you, Panasonic, for making the lives of us geeks that much easier.
