From drones to autonomous cars and flying taxis, TechCrunch’s Tel Aviv conference had it all

Yesterday we held our inaugural day-long conference in Tel Aviv, gathering some of Israel’s greatest thinkers, makers and investors to share their insight and expertise on one of the nation’s hottest exports — new mobility technologies.

In wide-ranging discussions with some of the nation’s leading luminaries, TC writers and editors covered everything from the technologies that will help cars to see, to the flying delivery drones that represent a potential future for logistics.

The founders of Waze and Gett helped map out the future of how folks will get around, and the chief strategy officer of Lyft presented his company’s vision for mobility. Even the Israeli government got in on the action, explaining how they’re trying to give autonomous efforts and new mobility technologies coming from “startup nation” a boost. And investors talked about the trends driving mobility technology forward.

Just so folks didn’t get motion sickness from all the mobility conversations, we also touched on what’s going on in Israel’s early-stage investment landscape, what security technologies are on the way and how different groups are helping to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Israel’s Arab community and in Palestine.

If you missed out on the action, don’t worry — all of the videos are coming soon.
