Ring, the makers of smart doorbells, chimes and security cameras has been acquired by Amazon for a rumored sum of $1B. The company was founded in 2012 and racks up a win for First Round Capital who led their seed and True Ventures who led their A. This acquisition, along with Blink, signals strong moves by Amazon to build out the Alexa ecosystem with its own hardware.
