Coinbase has added Singapore to the list of countries where you can buy and sell bitcoin using their platform. This is Coinbase’s first foray into Asia and it will allow users with Singapore Dollars to buy bitcoin.

“As one of the fastest-growing financial capitals in the world, Singapore represents an important market for us. To date, more than 15,000 people in Singapore have signed up for a Coinbase Wallet, and by extending our buy and sell service to the country, we’re helping to make their on-ramp to the bitcoin world as simple and as safe as possible moving forward,” said David Farmer, international expansion lead at Coinbase.

This news follows the move to open BTC operations in Canada following a partnership with compliance firm Vogogo.

Coinbase has raised $100 million in multiple rounds and open a Bitcoin exchange in January.
