Instacart has added Smart & Final to the list of retailers it works with for its food delivery service.
Founded in 2012, the Y Combinator graduate has raised $275 million to date.
Like many other on-demand startups, a company like Instacart can grow its overall footprint by expanding to new cities and, like today, adding new retailers. Instacart now has more than 70 retailers that it works with.
Instacart in December raised $210 million in a financing round that valued the company at more than $2 billion. However, a on-demand business like Instacart has its own challenges, and TechCrunch recently reported that the company has reached out to logistics startups to make deliveries on its behalf.
