Microsoft Thinks It's Cool, Crashes PS3 Euro Launch

Sony launched its super awesome PS3 in Europe on Friday and Microsoft was there to kick sand in Sony’s face. How professional. The software giant pulled a bunch of childish stunts (not that it’s the first time) to distract Sony’s fans from enjoying themselves. In London, Microsoft handed out a bunch of chairs to folks waiting in line with a Web site address; the Web site “welcomed” Sony to the next generation of gaming, some 16 months after Microsoft first released the 360.

In the City of Light, Microsoft proved its Miami Vice cred by sending boats up the Seine with its fearsome logo plastered on the side. It’s good to see multi-billion dollar companies try to act all cool and rebellious by pulling stupid stunts like this.
