Vigor Gaming's AMD Quad FX4 Powerhouse

Never heard of Vigor Gaming? Maybe you’ve heard of its Monsoon thermoelectric desktop cooling system? Okay, well you’ll just have to take my word for it then that Vigor builds some top-notch performance desktops and notebooks, such as the Vigor Force Recon QX4.

Made for what the company’s calling “megatasking” (running multiple apps side by side with multi-threaded games), the Vigor Force Recon QX4 is powered by a pair of the AMD Athlon 64 FX-74 series dual-core processors on a motherboard with the new Dual Socket Direct Connect (DSDC) Architecture. The base system sells for $2,899, which is high, but a good price for all the components packed into this beast.

If you’re headed to CES in January, be sure to check out Vigor’s booth.
