There was a lot of clamor a few weeks back about a larger capacity Xbox 360 hard drive. While there was never really any doubt that Microsoft would indeed soon release a hard drive with an increased capacity, those initial spy photos were ten kinds of fuzzy and thus not very intriguing. Today, however, the pics have surfaced that clearly indicate a 70GB Xbox 360 drive.
A larger capacity hard drive makes perfect sense. We ran a rumor Saturday that Microsoft would be launching a movie download service for the 360 and the New York Times yesterday confirmed that rumor as fact. Since the download service is slated to launch on Nov. 22, I’d expect to see the 70GB hard drive quite soon.
